A high-profile delegation from the UETians Lahore Endowment Foundation (ULEF) USA Alumni Chapter visited the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, reaffirming its commitment to fostering academic and technological advancement at their alma mater. The delegation was led by Engr. Waqas Khan, UET alumnus from the 1980 session and Founding Chairman of the ULEF Board of Directors, along with Engr. Nomaan Mufti, alumnus from the 1983 session and Founding Member & Secretary of the Board. During their meeting with UET Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI) the delegation announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab at UET Lahore.

They also expressed a strong interest in collaborating with the university and its students on a variety of projects aimed at the institution’s long-term development. The delegation also visited several departments, centers of excellence, and cutting-edge laboratories across the campus, engaging with faculty and students and exploring potential avenues for joint initiatives. This visit underscores the enduring bond between UET and its global alumni network, and the vital role that such partnerships play in shaping the future of engineering education and innovation in Pakistan.
