UET Lahore and PMLTC Launch Scholarship Program to Foster Industry-Academia Collaboration
In a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration and promoting higher education opportunities, PMLTC (Pakistan Manufacturing and Logistics Technology Corporation) and UET Lahore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, 14th May 2025. The agreement marks the formal launch of the PMLTC-UET Scholarship Program, aimed at providing financial support and career development opportunities for deserving students in the field of electrical engineering. The event commenced with a formal courtesy visit by Mr. Xiong Feng, Chairman & CEO of PMLTC, to the office of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir.

MoU Signing Ceremony Held in the UET Conference Room, the MoU signing was a landmark moment celebrating the official collaboration between PMLTC and UET Lahore. The agreement formalizes the launch of a dedicated scholarship program to support talented and financially deserving students. Exchange of Remarks & Presentation of Gifts Following the MoU signing, leaders from both organizations expressed their shared vision of educational advancement and industrial synergy.
To honor the collaboration: • PMLTC presented a traditional Chinese gift to the Vice Chancellor. • UET reciprocated with a UET commemorative souvenir to the PMLTC CEO, symbolizing academic partnership and goodwill. Campus Visits The PMLTC delegation toured various academic and cultural landmarks at UET, including: • Electrical Engineering Department – highlighting academic excellence and infrastructure. • Nano-Center – showcasing the state-of-the-art facility for morphological studies of materials, which includes TEM, SEM, and XRD, etc. • Library – “That’s China” Bookshelves Section – a photo opportunity celebrating educational ties and cultural exchange. The MoU signing ceremony signifies a deepening of educational cooperation between Pakistan and China, highlighting the role of industry in supporting academic growth and social development.
