UET Lahore Strengthens Alumni and Industry Collaboration for Phase II of Electrical Engineering Department Uplift
A delegation of esteemed alumni from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, led by Mr. Abdullah Mehmood (1993 Alumnus) of Itefaq Groups, and Mr. Amir Bhatti, the head of Khudi Foundation, visited the Vice Chancellor's office today. The delegation met with Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, to discuss the ongoing phase II of the uplifting initiative for the Department of Electrical Engineering. The panel included faculty members from the Electrical Engineering department, namely Dean Electrical Dr. Muhammad Shoaib, Ex-Chairman Dr. Muhammad Asghar Saqib, Present Chairman Dr. Syed Abdul Rahman Kashif, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Salman Fakhar, who is also the focal person for the uplifting drive of the Electrical Engineering Department.
Dr. Shahid Munir provided a comprehensive overview of the university's needs and the importance of alumni and corporate support. He highlighted the various initiatives already underway at UET Lahore, made possible by the generous contributions and funding from alumni and the corporate sector. During the meeting, both parties explored different avenues and prospects for enhancing industrial and alumni support towards UET Lahore.
The primary focus was on the effective completion of Phase 2 of the Electrical Engineering Department uplifting drive, specifically in terms of solarization and laboratory upgrades. The discussion also covered ways to enhance incubation programs for the corporate sector, improve internship programs, and upgrade the infrastructure of UET Lahore following the successful completion of the Electrical Engineering Department's uplifting drive. The Vice Chancellor and the alumni delegation expressed their commitment to collaborative efforts that will contribute to the university's growth and development, ultimately benefiting Pakistan.
