UET Lahore Celebrates Historic Honour as Alumnus Asim Iftikhar Ahmad to Preside Over UN Security Council
Representing Pakistan on the global stage, UET Lahore alumnus Asim Iftikhar Ahmad will assume the presidency of the United Nations' Security Council next month, an exceptional diplomatic milestone for the country and UET. A distinguished graduate of the 1984 Electrical Engineering batch from UET Lahore, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad currently serves as Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. His appointment as President of the Security Council is not only a matter of national pride but also a prestigious honour for his alma mater.
