A distinguished graduate of the 1984 Electrical Engineering batch from UET Lahore, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad currently serves as Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. His appointment as President of the Security Council is not only a matter of national pride but also a prestigious honour for his alma mater.
