A magnificent cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the ineffably multifarious impact of CPEC took place at UET Lahore. Honourable Professor Dr. Habib ur Rehman, Vice Chancellor, UET, Lahore, and Dr Mehvish Riaz, Director, China Study Centre cut a special cake in the presence of the esteemed Registrar of UET, deans, chairpersons, directors, faculty members and students. The UET administration takes pride in managing the only China Study Centre established in Punjab by Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC). During the phenomenal ceremony, the contribution of Chinese and Pakistani engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was highlighted. The distinct efforts of HEC officials, particularly, the venerable Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman, HEC, Dr Safdar Ali Shah, Director General, CPEC, HEC, and Ms Saima Asghar, Deputy Director, CPEC, HEC, in promoting the CPEC-related activities and deepening Pakistan-China ties in a remarkable manner were applauded warmly.
