The ASRB meeting was held on June 3, 2025, in the VC Conference Room at UET Lahore. During the meeting, six PhD proposals were approved, while three were rejected. Additionally, extensions were granted to seven PhD students.

To promote high-quality research, the committee approved the introduction of several incentive awards, including the Best Research Article Award, Best Book Award, and Best Teacher Award. In support of innovation, UET will now cover the patent filing fees for all national patents submitted by its faculty.

Furthermore, non-faculty researchers will also be eligible for research incentives, provided they are listed as the first author on their publications.
