The inauguration ceremony of recently renovated and upgraded four Class Rooms C1, C2, C7 and C11, two lobbies, and corridors connecting Chairman Office to Class Rooms C1 and C2 was held in the Civil Engineering Department. The Class rooms C1 and C2, and two lobbies were renovated with the financial support of 83 Special Civil Engineering Session Alumnus Engr. Abid Wazir Khan. The Class room C7 was renovated with the financial support of 2004 Civil Engineering Session Alumnus Dr. Qasim Shaukat Khan (Associate Professor in Civil Engineering Department). The Class room C11 was renovated with the financial support of 81 Civil Engineering Session Alumnus Engr. Muahmmad Yousaf Rao (Ex-GM WAPDA). The Corridors were renovated with the financial support of 95 Civil Engineering Session Alumnus Engr. Ameer Faisal (MD, City Survey and Engineering Consultants).

Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rehman inaugurated the recently renovated Class rooms, Lobbies and Corridors as chief guest and appreciated the efforts of esteemed Alumnus Engr. Abid Wazir Khan, Engr. Muhammad Yousaf Rao, Engr. Ameer Faisal and Dr. Qasim Shaukat Khan and his brothers in generously providing the financial support in renovating and upgrading the department.

Chairman Civil Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq briefed the Chief Guest, Deans and Chairpersons of various departments about the recently renovation in the Department. He acknowledged the efforts of donors. The Chairman further shared that various Alumnus of Civil Engineering have agreed to provide the financial support to renovate the remaining Class rooms C8, C9 and C10 which will be completed in next three months.
