THE ENTREPRENEUR STORY OF A HERO LECTURE SERIES AT CONTINUING ENGINEERING EDUCATION AND TRAINING CENTER UET NEW CAMPUS
On 23rd November, 2022 Prof. Dr. S. Mohsin Ali Kazmi, Director Continuing Engineering Education & Training Center New Campus organized the 3rd Lecture of the Entrepreneur Story of a Hero Lecture Series at UET New Campus. The main objective of this lecture series is to motivate the undergraduate students for entrepreneurship.
Mr. Zia Hyder Naqi was invited as motivational lecturer of the said lecture series. He started his first business at the age of eight years, and has ever since been involved in developing, expanding, diversifying and making business unit profitable in various sectors. Mr. Naqi, is an Alumni of Harvard Business School, and is currently working as CEO of Synthetic Products Enterprises Limited, a public company listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited.
Mr. Zia Hyder Naqi has 33 years of experience and possesses diversified knowledge and skills in the areas of Engineering and Business Management including Manufacturing, Mould Making, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resource etc. He is an Engineer and has a degree in Business Administration. He has represented Pakistan at various international events including International Mind Sports Events at Beijing Olympics.
He briefed the students about Entrepreneurship in a very impressive style. He emphasized the students please define your goal and work for others with full devotion and passion. He said that do good and have good, don’t walk for money, money will follow you.
A large number of undergraduate students participated in this very important session. At the end Prof. Dr. S. Mohsin Ali Kazmi, Director of CEETC addressed and concluded the session and Prof. Dr. Tanveer Iqbal, Campus Coordinator New Campus presented a souvenir to worthy guest speaker.

Mohsin Ali Kazmi, Director Continuing Engineering Education & Training Center New Campus and his team organized the 4th Lecture of the series “The Entrepreneur: Story of a Hero” at UET Lahore New Campus. The most important purpose of this lecture series is to motivate the undergraduate students for entrepreneurship.
Mr. Mohammad Sajjad Moghal was invited as motivational speaker of the said lecture series. He played very active role on multiple high-ranking positions. Incumbency/ Position Held: The World Bank, WWF, UNIDO-PFAN Advisory; Ex-Senior Development Adviser, USAID; Chief Operating Officer, Eccountant Pvt. Limited; Chief Executive Officer, Classic International Trading; Director, Prime Genetics Pvt. Limited; Director, Norson Chemical Industries
Accomplishments: An entrepreneur, business strategist, and Private Sector Development (PSD) expert. Two graduate degrees with roll of honor, attended Kennedy School at Harvard University, and the Federal Executive Institute, Virginia, USA. Won several International Awards in the USA and Japan.
Classic International Trading (CIT) set-up in 2016, turnover Rs. 700 million, and US$24 million indenting business, CIT commands three most selling brands in Pakistan. Set-up Prime Genetics in 2018, the largest cattle genetics seller, and partner of Alta Genetics USA. Took over Eccountant Pvt. Ltd. - ERP with integrated e-commerce and e-Payment platform.
Served as the Senior Adviser at USAID, and in the leadership position at Policy and Planning Division, SMEDA, Government of Pakistan. Mr. Moghal started his career as a banker and moved on to FMCG while working for Unilevers, Pakistan.
He highlighted the students about Entrepreneurship in a very impressive style. He emphasized the students please adopt the policy of simple living and high thinking and be very honest and truthful in your life. He also explained the two most important things for successful business i.e. Customer and Social Network. He said that social network plays a vital role in your business.

On 7th December, 2022 Prof. Dr. S. Mohsin Ali Kazmi, Director Continuing Engineering Education & Training Center New Campus and his team organized the 5th Lecture of the series “The Entrepreneur: Story of a Hero” at UET Lahore New Campus. The major purpose of this lecture series is to motivate the undergraduate students for entrepreneurship.
Mr. Sarfraz Shafqat was the Guest Speaker. He is a Techno-Commercial Director with 20+years’experience across Business Management, Supply Chain & Operations Management and Manufacturing across the Middle East and Asia. He has a proven track record of multi-sector business management, delivering transformational results and leading diversified teams across Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Infrastructure, Railway and Natural Resources. Mr. Sarfraz has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Engineering Management and an EMBA from LUMS. As well a strong engineering background, he has also undergone extensive business and Leadership Trainings at top academic institutions. He has recently completed Negotiation Dynamics (INSEAD, France), Art of Successful Negotiations (Harvard Law School, USA), Strategic Thinking & Leadership (The Wharton School, USA) and management trainings from London Business School. Mr. Sarfraz believes in leading teams with empathy, humbleness, character display and nurturing talent with on the job trainings, mentoring and delegating professional challenges.
Speaking on the occasion he emphasized the students about Entrepreneurship in a very impressive style. He said that communication skill is very important for a successful entrepreneur and to express someone. He explained the students don’t be limited to Pakistan and try to open in the International Market. You can grow your business to collaborate with International Body. He also said that you need to develop the Leadership Skill and strongly recommended the students think globally, go internationally and collaborate without any hesitation.
