Competent authorities appointed the senior most professor of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat as Pro Vice Chancellor of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore. Former Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Habib Ur Rehman congratulated him for his joining in varsity and handed over the charge to Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat. In this regard a farewell party in honor of outgoing vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Habib Ur Rehman and welcome party in honor of incoming Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat was arranged by the Teaching Staff Association (TSA) where all the deans, chairmen, Registrar, Controller of Examination, Treasurer, members of Syndicate, members of TSA executive committee and former presidents & general Secretary of TSA were present.

Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat was warmly welcomed by the students, faculty members and administration of university at Vice Chancellor’s Office. All Deans and Chairmen greet the newly appointed Vice Chancellor at his office and extended full support to the chair. Talking to Deans and Chairmen and Faculty of university he expressed his gratitude, “I am honored to be the Vice Chancellor of my academic institution and I will try my best to fulfill the expectations of teachers and employees.
