Zimal, society of female students UET Lahore in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Organization arranged a seminar on Breast Cancer Awareness on 16-10-2023 under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rehana Sharif (Advisor Zimal Society) at University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. The Vice Chancelor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Habib-Ur-Rehman was the chief guest. along with the Director of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Prof. Dr. Rehana Sharif (Advisor Zimal Society), Chairperson of Architecture Department Dr. Munazza, and Professor Emeritus Dr. Neelum Naz. Faculty members Dr. Ayesha, Dr. Arjumand, and Prof. Dr. Aneela also attended the Seminar. A large number of female students, Staff attended the seminar.

Dr. Maira Dastgir, a medical professional of Breast Cancer Awareness initiative campaigns from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital delivered a thoughtful lecture on the awareness of Breast Cancer. She highlighted the wide spread of Breast Cancer in Females of Pakistan with a ratio of 9:1. She also highlighted five symptoms of Breast Cancer, emphasizing the need to create awareness regarding the early signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer. 

Ms. Fariha Faisal from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a cancer survivor shared her story as a Cancer patient who fought this disease with confidence and resilience. 

Ms. Tayyaba Mushtaq from UET Lahore, was also the guest speakers who shed light on effects of mental health amongst Breast Cancer patients. UET Dramatics Society also presented a skit on Breast Cancer.

At the end of the seminar souvenirs and certificates were distributed among the guests, organizing team, and winners of the sketch competition.
