Civil Engineering Department, UET, Lahore organized a one-day international seminar on Environmentally friendly cementless concrete for future constructions in Pakistan: Geopolymer Concrete, A sustainable solution as a part of HEC funded China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)- Collaborative Research Grant. The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Zahid Ahmad Siddiqui delivered the inaugural speech in which he signifies the need of new construction materials and technologies in construction industry.Speakers Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hadi from Australia, Dr. Talha Ghafoor from Jenvironmentallyhroze Ali, Dr. Tauqir Ahmed, Dr. Qasim Shaukat Khan, Engr. Talha Mumtaz, Engr. Raja Hilal Ahmad, Engr. Hassan Javed and Engr. Haroon Akbar from Pakistan highlighted the environmental friendly nature of geopolymer concrete to address Global warming and Climate Change. The worthy Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Engr. Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar in his concluding remarks appreciated Dr. Qasim Shaukat Khan (PI), Prof. Dr. Asad Ullah Qazi (Co-PI) and Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq on successful organization of the seminar. At the end, worthy Vice Chancellor distributed the shields amongst the PI, Co-PI and presenters.
