Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized a day conference on Sustainable Development. The purpose of this conference was to promote the sharing of knowledge among academics, scientists, and engineers regarding prevalent issues and ongoing advancement in chemical and environmental engineering from a sustainable standpoint. Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Habib Ur Rehman, General Manager (HSE) Sui Northern Pipelines Limited Mr. Amjad Mumtaz and Chairman IEP Lahore Engr. Masood Ali Khan was the chief guest. Dean Faculty of Chemical, Metallurgical & Polymer Engineering Prof. Dr. Ing. Naveed Ramzan welcomed the guests.

The chairperson Chemical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Saima Yasin briefed the participants regarding the conference. However, different guest speakers including Dr. Torben Daeneke from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia, Dr. Rofice Dickson from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Dr. Murid Hussain from COMSATS University Islamabad, Dr. Naeem Akram from School of Chemical Engineering Minhaj University, Dr. Zaeem bin Babar from Institute of Energy and the Environmental Engineering University of Punjab, Dr. Aneela Anwar from UET Lahore, Dr. Khalid Mahmood from UET Faisalabad, Dr. Muhammad Umar Farooq from UET Lahore, Dr. Izzat Iqbal Cheema from UET New Campus addressed the participants on Renewable Energy, Environmental Sustainability, Catalysis, Waste Water & Disposal, and Sustainable Processes. At the end of the conference, souvenirs were distributed among the guests and organizers.
