True education has two halves: “knowledge & Character”. Knowledge exists but character-building is missing in our education system. So, Vice Chancellor UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman took a giant leap by adding this missing half of the education to UET Lahore. On his instructions Mr. Abid Wazir Khan, an alumnus of UET and trainer from John Maxwell Foundation (USA) in character building, initiated character-building activities in UET Lahore. Initially, Mr. Abid will train faculty, and later faculty will pass it on to their students. In this way, all faculty and 15,000 students of UET will benefit.  

So far, the faculty of four Departments of UET Lahore have gotten this training. It includes the Department of Civil Engineering, Institute of Environmental Engineering, Department of Chemistry, and Department of Transportation Engineering. Now the faculty of each Department will train their students accordingly.
