Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department, UET in collaboration with the HACPL (Honda Atlas Car Pakistan Limited)/Atlas Honda organized a Road Safety Awareness Seminar and Women In Charge Project in the IME Department (Main Campus) on November 23, 2023.

As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, the Honda team led by Mr. Rao Muhammad Arshad Javaid (Health, Safety & Corporate Governance Division, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited) arranged a range of indoor and outdoor activities in the department wherein faculty, staff members and students participated actively. The activities included an awareness session for sensitizing the students and audience to safe bike and car riding followed by bike riding training for female students (through simulator and practical). Honda sensing VR was also there to experience certain car safety features. Additionally, a free light/brake/oil/safety part check camp was established for the students and staff to have their vehicles assessed by the Honda team. Dr. Sana Ehsan coordinated the activity from the department. Chairman IME Department, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser Saleem, thanked Honda team members for the continued support of the group to the department for collaborating on various fronts such as sessions, facilitating internships, industrial visits, and employing the graduates of the program.
