On May 7, 2024, the Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP) hosted a seminar on water crises, featuring distinguished speakers from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), including Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq and Prof. Dr. Noor M. Khan. Dr. Noor M. Khan’s presentation, “Water Crises: Causes and Solutions,” explored the impact of urbanization, industrialization, population growth, and climate change on water scarcity. He emphasized sustainable water management, technological innovations, public education, effective policy, and climate change mitigation as key solutions. The seminar highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to tackle this global challenge, underscoring the urgency of comprehensive strategies for sustainable water management.
