A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 23rd of December, 2022 between Goldensun Petroleum Services (SMC – PVT) Limited; a subsidiary of GPT Software (hereinafter referred to as the “Donor”), and the Faculty of Earth Sciences & Engineering, University of Engineering Technology, Lahore. The MoU signing ceremony was held under the presence of Professor Dr. Muhammad Zubair Abu Bakar (Dean FESE), Prof Dr. M Farooq Ahmed (Chairman,  geological Engineering), Professor Dr. Khurram Zahoor (Chairman Petroleum Engineering) and Dr. Shahab Saqib (Chairman Mining Engineering).

The MoU was signed by the representative of Goldsun Petroleum, Mr. Ghulam Shabeer (MD GPST) and Dr Shafiq, Director External Linkages (a representative of worthy Vice Chancellor, UET Lahore). GES is a common platform/software package to conduct interpretation of geoscientific and engineering datasets, and 3D modeling for geology & geophysics, petroleum engineering and mining engineering works by integrating seismic, bore-hole, historical field production and outcrop data.
