30th Convocation of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore

In the 30th Convocation of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, degrees were distributed among 2,705 students of UET main and its constituent campuses. 1,643 graduates, 1,022 MS / M. Phil, 40 PhD degrees, and 61 gold medals were distributed among 38 students. However, 2,126 graduates of UET Lahore Campus, 347 from UET New Campus Kala Shah Kaku, 81 from UET Faisalabad Campus, 61 from Rachna College of Engineering and Technology Gujranwala, and 90 graduates of UET Narowal Campus were awarded with degrees. The convocation was presided over by the Governor Punjab/Chancellor UET Engr. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rahman. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Habib-Ur-Rehman delivered the welcome address.

Addressing the participants of the convocation, Governor Punjab and Chancellor of University Baligh Ur Rehman congratulated the successful students and said that the journey of UET and engineering spans a century. Today, Pakistan is making progress rapidly due to UET’s engineers. He further said that the university is playing a great role in shaping the future of students in the current era.

Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Habib-Ur-Rehman highlighted the achievements of the university. At the same time, he said that in order to empower its students, UET offers them support in getting jobs while also encouraging students who are going towards entrepreneurship. According to him, the university has always been awarded many scholarships worth thousands of dollars due to its graduates. At the end of the convocation, students looked excited and they cheered by blowing their convocation caps in the air.
