UET, KFUEIT to collaborate on research
University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) Rahim Yar Khan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost research and technical cooperation in all fields of technology within the country and to bring benefit to both sides by sharing resources wherever possible. The MoU signing ceremony took place after the meeting of syndicate of KFUEIT chaired by Provincial Minister Punjab for higher education Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfraz. In the presence of Minister Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar and Vice Chancellor KFUEIT Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir signed the MoU.
The terms of MoU includes training of scientific and technical personnel for teaching, research and development in all fields of Engineering and Technology, cooperated scientific research and technological development programmes and projects of national interest as well as projects of indigenous production of advance scientific equipment and vice versa, possibilities for researchers from KFUEIT to work at departments of UET Lahore as full time researchers, supervision of research students in selected areas of mutual interest, holding of joint conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops and invited lectures at national and international level, arrangements for provision of easy access to researchers for entrance in the premises of KFUEIT and UET for collaborative research activities/visits and use of each other’s research and teaching facilities after necessary security clearance.
