Lahore syndicate elections were held for the teachers

The UET (University of Engineering and Technology) Lahore syndicate elections were held for the teachers’ seats to elect one teacher from each of the four cadres, including professor, associate professor, assistant professor and lecturer. The polling started at 9am and concluded at 4pm at the Vice Chancellor’s conference room. For the seat of professor Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq and Prof. Dr. Naveed Ramzan, for the seat of associate professor Dr. Arjumand Iqbal and Dr. Saima Yasin, for the seat of assistant professor Ms. Gulsaria Ashraf, Ms. Munazzah Akhtar, Dr. Rabia Nazir and Ms. Sadia Gondal whereas for the seat of lecturer Mr. Amjad Majeed and Mr. Rizwan Khan were contesting the election. According to the results on the one seat of professor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Ramzan was elected with 28 votes. For associate professor, Dr. Saima Yasin was elected with 40 votes, for assistant professor, Dr. Rabia Nazir was elected with 95 votes. While for the seat of lecturer, Mr. Rizwan Khan was elected with 92 votes.
