The e-Rozgaar Graduation Ceremony 2019 held at Chemical Seminar Hall of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore. At least 540 graduating candidates from three E-Rozgaar centers including UET Lahore, PU and LCWU received their certificates. Punjab Minister for Information Technology and Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun was the chief guest of the event. Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Azfar Manzoor, Director General Sports Board Adnan Arshad, DG e-Governance PITB Sajid Latif, Director PITB Salman Amin and Dean Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Dr. Shagufta Naz were also present at the ceremony.
Addressing the audience, the minister lauded the PITB’s efforts for empowering the students to make their earnings through freelancing by using their full potential. He said the government would replicate the programme across 36 districts of Punjab. He further said, “We intend to add more disciplines to the programme to attract a large number of individuals to get vocational training in various fields.”
At this occasion, Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar further elaborating the “eRozgaar” programme said that it has impressively created outstanding impact among the youth in terms of improving their creative, technical and non-technical skills. At the end of ceremony Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar presented souvenirs to honorable guests. The Minister also visited “eRozgaar” center along with worthy Vice Chancellor UET Dr. Mansoor Sarwar and E-Rozgaar team members.
