Department of Polymer & Process Engineering, University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore in collaboration with Department of Polymer Engineering & Technology, University of Punjab (PU) organized a one-day research seminar on Technical Textiles & Textile-Based Composites.
The seminar started with opening remarks of Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid. Taking to participants, worthy Vice-Chancellor said, “For strong Industry-Academia linkages, academia should improve the quality of education according to the requirements of the industry. This activity will be helpful in capacity building of academic institutions.” Prof. Dr. Martin King from North Carolina State University delivered a lecture on Technical Textiles & Textile-Based Composites while Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser from UET Lahore discussed about Application of intrinsically conductive polymers in textiles and composites and Dr. Shehzad Maqsood Khan from University of Punjab described Development & Characterization of Polymer Composites at Department of Polymer Engineering & Technology.
Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid thanked Prof. Dr. Martin King that he managed time to come for the faculty and students of UET. At the end of the seminar, Worthy Vice Chancellor presented souvenir to honorable guest speakers.
