Dr. Muhammad Farooq ( Assistant Professor )

Dr. Muhammad Farooq is an experienced academic with more than 10 years of research, industrial and teaching experience at prestigious organizations in different world renowned organizations. He has conducted and participated in teaching, training and research activities in several countries including UK, USA, China, Italy, Turkey, Germany, France, Pakistan, Spain and Netherlands. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Farooq has research portfolio of about $133,000 USD and contributed towards more than 40 leading technical journal and peer reviewed conference papers, in addition to a patent under review. He received various highly competitive research grants including Faculty Research Grant, Neilson Research Award, EU-CO2-TRIP Project funded by Marie Curie Actions IRSES for Clean Coal Energy Generation, UK ADNET Research Travel Grant, UK BBSRC and Faculty Development Scholarship.

He taught various courses at undergraduate, graduate level and received teaching excellence and supervising number of research students at B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. level in Mechanical and Energy Engineering. Dr. Farooq serves regularly as Chair of technical sessions, member of technical committees, conducted international trainings, Organizer and invited key-note speaker in various world-renowned international conferences, summer schools and professional meetings related to Mechanical and Energy systems, in addition to reviewer for leading journals and received recognition awards from top notch journals of Elsevier, Springer, SAGE Publishing and Taylor & Francis group.
