Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz ( Professor )
Dr. Amer Aziz is a veteran Urban Planner with twenty-six years of teaching, research, and professional experience. He is a Professor of Urban Planning, Director Studies and Director Quality Enhancement Cell in University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He served on the National Institute of Transportation, National University of Sciences, and Technology (NUST), Islamabad as Assistant Professor(2008-2011). He served in Local Government and Community Development Department at various positions. Furthermore, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Lab Urba, Institute of d’ Urbanisme, University of Paris Est. Creteil, France under Joint French Embassy- HEC postdoctoral Scholarship. Dr. Amer earned his PhD from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He organized several seminars and training workshops and also have participated, as resource person in various such activities. He has a sound record of research. Several International Publications including those in impact factor journals are to his credit. His two recent publications are Examining the Root Causes of Deficient Building Control and its Nonconforming impacts in Lahore has been published in Journal Urban Planning and Development Vol. 144, Issue 2 June 2018. Examining suitability of the Integrated Public Transport System: A Case Study of Lahore was published in an International Journal Transportation Research Part A under ISSN: 0965-8564 Vol. 117, Nov 2018 pages 13-25.
