Dr. Muhammad Asif Hussain ( Assistant Professor )
Currently, Dr. Asif is working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and also serving in Center for Energy Research and Development, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore since Jan 2017. Previously, he served as a Research Associate (Lecturer) (2011-2012) and also as a Graduate Assistant (2009-2011) at Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, GIK Institute of Engineering and Technology, Topi, Pakistan. He did his BSc Enginering in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering (Hons) from University of the Punjab, Lahore, MS Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering from GIK, Institute Topi, Pakistan and PhD in Catalytic Materials (Energy and Chemical Engineering) from Kangwon National University, South Korea.
His research interests include, the synthesis, characterization, mechanical, electrical and electrochemical evaluation of functionally graded materials (FGM), nanomaterials, ceramic/metal/polymer based nanocomposites, and porous materials for biomedical and structural applications. The design, characterization and application of heterogeneous catalysts and nanohybrid materials
