Al-Khawarazmi Institute of Computer Science UET Lahore organized a certificates’ distribution ceremony on 1 st March held at Chemical Hall of the university. The ceremony was conducted to award the certificates to the passing out students of the third batch of PSDF (Punjab Skill Development Fund) who successfully passed the solar, web designing and development and mobile application courses at the university. 180 successful students were awarded with the certificates. CEO Pakistan Solar Park Muhammad Amjad, Chairman Pakistan Solar Association Nuaman Khan, Director Solar Tech Colonel Irfan, Industrial Consultant Zahid Hafeez Tosi, Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid and Director Al-Khawarazmi Institute Dr. Waqar attended the ceremony. Talking to the students and the attendees, Dr. Fazal appreciated the efforts of Punjab Government for its support to the university for conducting projects mutually. He emphasized on the skill’s importance. Dr. Fazal said that students should focus on the need of technology.
Director Solar Tech said that their organization was all set to endow 2000 schools of Punjab with solar technology very soon. He also offered the internships and jobs to the talented students of this batch. Chairman Pakistan Solar Association announced that he would take 5 top students on board from this batch to send to Germany on his association’s expenditures for training. He also mentioned that the company would then sign a two year contract with these students for jobs upon their return to country so that they can serve to Pakistan. In the end, distinguished guests conferred the students and organizers of the ceremony with certificates. Dr. Waqar Mahmood presented the souvenirs to Vice Chancellor and all the guests.
