“Dieses free UET” Launched by Blood Donors Society in Collaboration with Bilqees Sarwar Foundation

A two day event titled “Dieses free UET” organized by Blood Donors Society in collaboration with Bilqees Sarwar Foundation, Kashif Iqbal Thalassmia Care Center and UET Health Clinic of University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore was concluded at campus. 

It was comprised on blood screening awareness walk and basic life support training session. Notable personalities like Vice Chancllor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Dean Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Ghulam Abbas Anjum, Director Students Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Asli Qaiser, Advisor UET Blood Donors Society Arif Hussain and other participated its closing session. The purpose of this event was to provide its attendees attached with different organizations a forum where they can interact and share their experiences with each other. A walk to aware the people about Thalassemia and homophiles was also arranged. Similarly blood screening campus was organized for students and employees. In this two days event basic health training was conducted by the help of train public. 

At the event Vice-Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “Blood donation is peak respect for the humanity and it gives the life to the effected person. In this regards, sense of realization and responsibility must be activated among youth to build an exemplar nation for the world”. He said, “blood donation, the screening of blood is done properly and it helps to person to detect the real condition of blood and urges to maintain life properly”. Many needy persons require blood to stay in life and enjoy the healthy life we must help them to ease their lives. This sort of programs always provides opportunity to get information about blood and its related complications and deceases. He urged youth to get maximum participation in this noble cause to build healthy society. At this occasion Deans, Chairmen, Society Advisor and large number of students, official and representatives of NGOs were present. In the ceremony shields were distributed among the guests and organizers.

UET
