University of Engineering and Technology Lahore organized a ceremony for Christian employees in connection with the Christmas Day here on Saturday. Vice chancellor University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid was chief guest of the Christmas cake-cutting ceremony while many other university employees attended the function. Addressing the ceremony, Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid congratulated the Christian employees on celebrating the Christmas. He said, “UET is one of the oldest Asian Engineering institute in the country where people of various faiths live with religious harmony. We all should shun all differences and unite as one nation above than cast, race, religion, sectarianism, provincialism and language. The Christian community in the country is an integral part of the society and their contribution for the development in all fields of life always remained extraordinary.” Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid issued special Christmas allowance to Christian employees.
