All Pakistan Electrical Symposium 2017 (APES'17)

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers organized Three-day symposium 2017 at University of Engineering & Technology Lahore. The Symposium was one of the biggest events on Power sector in Pakistan in the history of IEEE UET. The event consisting of technical workshop by technology sector representatives, International speakers talks on Internet of things for Industrial Automation & Smart Metering etc. The Symposium examined the challenges that ensure reliability in electric power system undergoes the most fundamental transformation in its operation. The proceedings combined the formal ceremonial opening of IEEE event (including Recitation of Holy Quran, National Anthem, welcoming speeches by Dean Electrical & Electronic Department, Dr Sohail Aftab and Director KICS, Dr Waqar Mehmood. 

Notable National & International speakers participated. Dr Amjad Husaain the Director FAST Lahore praised the overall efforts and arrangements made by the university administration. Dr Sohail Aftab Dean of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science stated that the overall aim, mission, and goals are to promote the research work at the camp Dr KM Hassan the Branch Counsellor of IEEE UET praised and endorsed the suggestions and recommendations rose by the esteemed guests while sharing their views. us. Around table talk transpired at the 2nd day featuring actual drivers sitting at the power stations should have a direct link with the academia to bring in professionals who have done their research work not only over some random problems but over the crises the industry and the power departments, as students. 

All Pakistan Electrical Symposium after whole 2 days of talks and discussion regarding energy solutions and effective data transfer on a global level, the 3rd day started off with a huge resounding glamour. Dr Sohail Aftab Dean of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science stated that the overall aim, mission, and goals are to promote the research work at the campus. 

He thanked all the participants and organizers of the symposium. Dr Fazal Ahmad the Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology Lahore praised the efforts of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering for arranging such type of symposium where intellectuals from all over the world gathered together at a single platform to share their knowledge and views with the students. He gave his best wishes for APES 2018 and assured his full support for such kind of technical events in the future. Souvenirs were presented to all the national and international speakers, the campus ambassadors, and the organizing team.
