UET Professor earn Young Investigators Award at 2018 Sage Assembly

Sage Bionetworks hosted 2018 Sage Assembly: Algorithms and the Role of the Individual from April 19 – 21, 2018 in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Sajid Iqbal was granted Young Investigators Award at this multidisciplinary conference.

This award was given to young investigators — early career researchers who make an impact in their respective fields. Dr. Sajid Iqbal, who had gone to China under HEC project “HRD Initiative-MS leading to PhD Programme of Faculty Development of USTEPs”, was the only Pakistani researcher amongst the nineteen international Young Investigators chosen for the award. Dr. Sajid Iqbal is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechatronics & Control Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore.

He earned his PhD degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China. Besides, he has also recently achieved the status of "HEC Approved Supervisor". Dr. Sajid Iqbal has presented papers in national and international conferences. He has also published papers in reputed journals. He is a reviewer of various international journals. He is a member of I.E.E.E (Pak.), Institution of Engineers Pakistan (I.E.P), Pakistan Engineering Council (P.E.C), and Pakistan Association for Advancement of Science (P.A.A.S).

Recently, he delivered Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops titled "Scientific Writing for Impact Factor Journals" on different platforms like P.E.C and I.E.P. In addition, his research interests include nonlinear dynamics, chaos, electronic circuits, and engineering education.
