Dr. Muhammad Ahsan ( Assistant Professor )

Muhammad Ahsan has keen interest in quantum mechanical computation and control systems which underpin future advances in robotics and automation. His physics flavored academic background, rooted primarily in electrical engineering (B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, 2003), propelled him to pursue interdisciplinary research direction (PhD in Computer Science with focus in Quantum computing, 2015) and acquire research-oriented career (Assistant professor UET Lahore, 2016) in the fast emerging field of Mechatronics and Control Engineering. Some of his notable achievements include: winning Duke University fellowship award which eventually led to his PhD on IARPA funded Quantum Computer Science project (IARPA QCS program 2011-2013), Multi-Qubits Coherent Quantum Operation (IARPA MQCO program 2013-2015) and winning National Centre of Robotics and Automation (NCRA 2018) lab for UET Lahore. In his time of leisure, Ahsan tries to search for unlikely connection between epistemology and humor.
